Prof. Jesus Labarta from BSC attended the Open Source Summit and held a presentation titled “The RISC-V vector processor in EPI”.
The Ph.D. Workshop on HW accelerators for AI and HPC organized by our partners from UNIPI was held online.
EPI team members participated in several sessions at the HiPEAC conference in Bologna, Italy, held from January 20-22, 2020.
In addition to having a booth as a HiPEAC sponsor, EPI was presented at the industrial session, in two other workshops (WRC and Eurolab4HPC session) and in EPI’s own tutorial session, where EPI presenters gave talks on Accelerators, Compiler and Software Development, EPI’s Power Aspect and PCIe Daughter.
In November 2019, the European Commission organized a workshop to analyze the future of Open Source Software and hardware. The workshop brought stakeholders together to discuss current challenges, opportunities, R&I, economic and policy-making issues. EPI’s Jesus Labarta from Barcelona Supercomputing Centre participated in the workshop on a Panel on Open Source opportunities.
